The Need for Accessible Special Needs Therapy
Developing resources for our community and Ohio has always been our goal. Successfully building a vocational rehabilitation agency (You Belong) serving individuals with disabilities ages 14+ in developing skills and abilities to be prepared for and obtain employment has been an honor and joy. It also highlighted some gaps in services in our own community. Specifically identified were gaps in the availability of therapy services in the city of Lorain and access to those services. So, we got to work.
We Understand your Struggles Firsthand
Our philosophy and service model comes from also being parents to a child with a disability who needs all of these services, and more, and understanding the juggle in obtaining services and support. Parents experience frustration with the medical system, demands on their schedule to make it to appointments, day-to-day struggles, and so much more. We get it because we’re doing it too, and we want to change that process.
Solutions Created with Your Family in Mind
We set out to offer options that are more feasible for families, with private pay, membership options, and more to help their kiddos learn, grow, and play more independently and develop skills for their future. We also strive to be better employers so that staff are not burned out, can be creative, and really enjoy the time they spend with your child and focus on the things they do best.
We want to become more than just a therapy provider. We want to do everything we can to help your child and ours, through their lifespan.
Our Services
We will offer information, resources, connections, referrals, and informational fairs to support families as much as we can. We can also provide information and resources to support you, and your families’ members while your children are in therapy services.
Physical Therapy (PT)
PT is utilized to develop strength, coordination, and mobility within a person’s body.
Speech and Language Pathology (SLP)
SLP helps people find their voice and communicate their wants and needs as best as possible.
More than Just a Therapy Provider
For most of us, hearing that your child will have challenges in their lives turns your world upside down. Hearing that there are others out there who are in it with you, understand, and can help you tackle things one step at a time is huge. We want to become more than just a therapy provider, we want to do everything we can to help your child, and ours, through their lifespan.
